Anambra state Governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo has commissioned a digital hub in Aguata local government area, Anambra state.
The Hub is fully equipped with world class ICT gadgets such as computers, projectors, printers and other sophisticated digital equipments.
Speaking during ceremony, the Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, commended the TC chairman, Dr Offorbike for his efforts.
Going further, the commissioner emphasised that the initiative is in line with one of the visions of the state governor, establishing Digital Hubs in strategic corners so that the Youths can have easy access to digital skills.
Furthermore, Tonycollins advised the first sets trainees drawn from the 14 communities which made up the local council to maximise the opportunities provided by the training facility and widen their digital knowledge and skill .
Earlier in his remarks, The TC chairman, Dr Prince Chibueze Ofobuike emphasised that the facility was designed and equipped in such a way that whoever pass through it, can compete favourably in the digital world. He also stated that the gadgets in the facility especially in the area of CCTV installation and solar engineering are of international standard.
In their goodwill messages, the APGA Candidate for Aguata Constituency1, Hon. Anayo Okpalaeke and Aguata Constituency2, Hon.Tony Mobiike appreciated the TC chairman for his efforts and assured him that the good people of Aguata Local Government will continue to support him and the the governor of the state, prof. Charles Soludo.
Also speaking, Dr Nelson Omenugha, the Special Adviser to the governor on Youths Empowerment, lauded the Transition Chairman of Aguata for his commitment towards the betterment of Ndi Aguata. He equally urged the youths to seize the opportunity provided by the hub so as to acquire relevant digital skills.
