Deaf philanthropist, Chidi Olujie met with the President of the Korean Republic Association of the Deaf, Byun Seung ll, at the ongoing 18th edition of the World Federation of the Deaf congress.
Chidi who is representing the Nigeria National Association of the Deaf at the ongoing World Federation of the Deaf Congress holding in France said the meeting was to improve partnership between the Korean Deaf Association, his Non-Governmental Organization and the Nigeria National Association of the Deaf towards the 19th edition of the Congress, precisely 2023.
Chidi noted that the Korean president would assist Nigeria in advocating Deaf rights and help in securing visas and other logistics to enable NNAD and the NGO participate in the next edition of the Deaf congress in year 2023.

“I am glad to meet the President of the Korea Republic Association of the Deaf, Byun Seung ll” said elated Chidi
“He promised to visit Nigeria to partner with my NGO & NNAD in advocating for Deaf rights and also help us in obtaining Visa, other logistic to enable us participate in the 19th edition of the #WFD holding in Korea” He added
It could be recalled that Korea Republic recently won the right to host the next edition of the Congress that will hold in the eastern asia.
It is pertinent to note that the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD ) is a global non-governmental organization that is an umbrella body for deaf persons. It is the highest body for national associations of Deaf people from 133 countries with the aims to promote Human Rights of Deaf people worldwide, by working closely with the United Nations.
