Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Mohammed Abba Isa has reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for and supporting persons with special needs across the nation.
Isa gave his assurance in his international humanitarian day message through his office on Monday.
“This day is a powerful reminder of the critical importance of extending our compassion and resources to those who are most vulnerable, especially in times of crisis. Our office, through initiatives such as the “Beyond Disability” project, is dedicated to ensuring that the voices of people with disabilities and special needs are not only heard but prioritised in all humanitarian efforts.
“The “Beyond Disability” project exemplifies His Excellency, president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities by providing them with the tools, opportunities, and support they need to live fulfilling lives through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Presidential aide urged all sectors-government, private, and civil society to join hands with him in promoting inclusivity and ensuring that humanitarian aid reaches everyone, especially those who are often overlooked.
According to him, “By working together, we can build a society that is not only resilient but also equitable, where every individual has the opportunity to thrive regardless of their circumstances.
“On this International Humanitarian Day, let us renew our commitment to creating a world where no one is left behind.” He said.
