Gov Ododo Appoints SCI Survivor as Executive Secretary, Kogi State Office for Disability Affairs

Kogi State governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has appointed a Spinal Cord Injury Survivor, Yakubu Nazir Abdulhakeem as the new Executive Secretary, Kogi State Office for Disability Affairs (KOSODA).

The news of his appointment broke Monday in his message of appreciation and acknowledgement.

“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Inclusivity Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for appointing me, Comr. Yakubu Nazir Abdulhakeem, as the newly Executive Secretary of the Kogi State Office for Disability Affair. This appointment is not just an honour but a significant opportunity to advocate for and uplift the disabled community in our state.

“I also want to take this moment to acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable efforts of our esteemed “Big Mummy,” the Kogi State Accountant General. Her steadfast support has made a profound impact on my life and the lives of many within the disabled community in Kogi State.

Prior to his appointment, Comr. Yakubu Nazir Abdulhakeem was the President, Kogi Central Persons with Disabilities Association and also the Chairman, Spinal Cord Injury Association of Nigeria SCIAN, Kogi state chapter. He is a wheelchair user and a disability rights advocate.
