The National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) and the Discovering Abilities in Disabilities Initiative (DADI) have rescheduled the official unveiling of the DADI Reality Show from October 17 to November 30, 2026.
The two organisations announced the postponement in a joint press release dated October 16, 2026, apologising to members of the public, partners, sponsors, stakeholders and invited guests for any inconvenience caused by the change of date.
According to the joint planning committee, the decision was necessitated by strategic and logistical considerations aimed at ensuring a more robust, inclusive and befitting unveiling ceremony.
The DADI Reality Show is designed to showcase the talents, creativity and abilities of persons with disabilities in Nigeria, providing a platform to promote their visibility, participation and inclusion in society.
The organisers expressed appreciation to their partners and stakeholders for their overwhelming support and commitment to the initiative, while assuring them that official letters containing updated information on the venue, time and programme of activities would be communicated ahead of the new date.
The joint planning committee also appealed for the understanding and patience of all concerned, reaffirming its commitment to delivering an unveiling ceremony that reflects the vision and objectives of the reality show.
The statement was signed by Ishaku Kigbu, Head of the Media and Publicity Sub-Committee, on behalf of the NCPWD/DADI Joint Planning Committee.
