Children’s Day: Special School Wins Marching Competition

Jigawa State school for the Hearing Impaired, Hadejia, came top at the May 27 Children’s Day marching competition organized by the State to celebrate its children.

Awards were presented to the winners at the Hadejia stadium after the marching competition.

Mixed emotions of pleasure and humility could be read on faces of the winners as they didn’t expect the win and award.

“It is hard to put this feeling into words. We are thrilled to express our joy on the special win.

“It is an honor receiving this award for this year’s competition. We are very grateful to the organizers for recognizing our efforts”, the students said.
