Nigeria National Association of the Deaf (NNAD) president, Chidi Olujie who has, started implementing its international agenda, met with Uganda National Association of the Deaf (UNAD) Executive Director, Robert Nkwangu in Uganda to discuss among other things, the integration and collaboration among African Deaf Associations to strengthen Deaf Advocacy agenda on the African continent.
The National Public Relation Officer of the association, Labaran Bala said this in a statement he signed on Thursday.
Olujie who was accompanied by the National Youth Leader of NNAD, Ebuka Okeke also learnt about the history and operational processes of UNAD, including their progress with achievements related to advocacy for Deaf human rights, notably the ratification of the UNCRPD and adoption of the Ugandan Sign Language into their national constitution from which they took notes.
