Social media platform TikTok has been thrown into excitement after a young content creator, Maryam Gombe, publicly expressed her love for APC House of Representatives aspirant, Hon. Mahmud Sadis Buba, promising to quit TikTok and become an “obedient wife” if he agrees to marry her.
Mahmud Sadis Buba, a young politician with small stature from Zaria, recently gained widespread attention after a video from his screening exercise went viral online. The politician is contesting for the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a now-viral video circulating on TikTok, Maryam Gombe made an emotional appeal, openly declaring her admiration and desire to marry the aspiring lawmaker.
“Please tell this servant of God, send him this message, and let him know that I love him, I cherish him, and I am willing to marry him. I will live peacefully with him and be obedient to him. I have been praying to God to grant me a good husband to marry. I was just sitting, suddenly this good man appeared,” she said.
Maryam also linked her future on TikTok to the outcome of the proposal, telling her followers that she would leave the platform entirely if Buba accepts her proposal.
“TikTok users, you have been praying for Allah to give me a good husband so I can get married and leave TikTok. If this servant of God says he will marry me, I swear I will never be on TikTok again. I will marry him, I will be obedient to him, and we will live peacefully,” she added.
She stressed that her feelings were not influenced by politics or the politician’s ambition, insisting that her affection was genuine.
“I love him not because he is vying for a political office. And in fact even winning the election is not guaranteed — that’s in God’s hands — but I truly love him,” she said.
Maryam further revealed that she has always admired men of small stature, saying she believes they would share a joyful and peaceful relationship together.
“I have always wanted to marry a small-statured man like him, so we can play and laugh together like siblings. I love him very much,” she stated.
She concluded the video with a passionate appeal to viewers to help her reach the politician.
“Please make sure this message reaches him. For God’s sake, if anyone knows where I can find this man, please tell me, or if someone has his number, please send it to me,” she pleaded.
The video has since generated reactions across social media, with many users sharing mixed opinions over the public declaration of love.
