Representatives of Kano State Spinal Injury Association (SIA) at the Public Hearing for 2018 budget, lead by Engineer Abdul B. Haruna, presented a proposal to the State House that emphasized on health issues from MRI, cost of Surgery, rehabilitation center and spinal ward in a newly Muhammadu Buhari Specialist hospital.
Expressing his joy and appreciation was Abdulrahman Uba, a member of the SIA community, who broke the news on his Facebook page. He went further to give us insight into the damning effects of Spinal injury. He says: ” The Spinal injury is inevitable in a society, It causes a lot of damages to the human life. It’s one of the most expensive health condition to care. Spinal injury has no class status as of some other diseases, it involves a donkey rider, air traveller, biker, building collapse, an ordinary pedestrian may be hit by the running object or a vehicle not to talk about car accidents which is the most commonly caused. To reduce the trauma by the victims, their families and it’s effect in a society the SIA community under the leadership of Engineer Abdul B. Haruna present a proposal to the State House that emphasized on health issues from MRI, cost of Surgery, rehabilitation center and spinal ward in a newly Muhammadu Buhari Specialist hospital.”
