The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Government Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Hameed Idowu Tijani was at Hope Fountain Schools For The Deaf, Ijaiye Ojokoro, along with his wife and some delegates to commemorate his birthday with students with disabilities.
INN reports that the Chairman who was born on 6th October, donated some foodstuffs and provisions to commemorate his birthday.
The donations had sent the whole school into agog with jubilation, happiness and celebrations galore.
According to report, the presence of the dignitaries and security men shook the whole street and traffic was at a standstill till they left after an hour at the school.
The Founder and Director of the school, Mr Tony Nwokolo lauded the chairman for seeing it worthy to celebrate his birthday with children with disabilities at the school in Lagos.
He said, “this important visit is a demonstration of the high regard and pride of place Hope Fountain Schools and welfare of the deaf children play in the scheme of things in Ojokoro LCDA.”
The Chairman, Hameed Idowu Tijani speaking during his birthday celebration at the school said ever since he became the Chairman of Ojokoro LCDA, he has taken it as an obligation to always come around to celebrate birthday with the children and Mr Tony has been a good friend.
Tijani added “and again the children are gifted and intelligent and are God’s creation. They need more help. Anyone as God blesses you should also remember the needy, that is how God’s blessings unfold for you.”
INN reports that there was a surprise birthday cake from Hope Fountain schools for the chairman.
