A person living with a disability, Bashir Sabo Adi, has paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Disability Rights Commission (NSDRC), Saleh Barde-Keana, in appreciation of his recent appointment.
Adi, who was appointed as Personal Assistant by the Executive Chairman of Obi Local Government Council, visited the NSDRC office in Lafia on Wednesday to express gratitude for the role played in facilitating his appointment.
In his response, Barde-Keana congratulated Adi and urged him to justify the confidence reposed in him by discharging his duties diligently.
He also commended the Executive Chairman of Obi Local Government Council, Sani Mohammed Isa, for prioritizing persons with disabilities in governance, describing the gesture as a significant step toward inclusive leadership. The NSDRC Chairman further reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to protecting and advancing the rights of persons with disabilities across the state.
