NSCDC partners JONAPWD, assures of security of lives and property in Edo

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Edo State command has assured Edo State chapter of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) of partnership and security of lives and property in the state.

The corps gave the assurance Tuesday when some of the executive members of JONAPWD paid a courtesy call to the commandant in his office.

The state commandant, Dr Dan Okon pledged to collaborate with the association by providing security to lives and property of persons with disabilities and incorporate them into empowerment training programs.

INN reports that the association was given slots to bring to PWDs for a skill acquisition training programme meant for their officers wives billed to take off between 3rd to 5th May 2023.

Earlier, while welcoming the association to his office, Dr Okon said his Commandant general, Ahmed Abubakar Audi has established a Disability desk office in the 36 states of the federation and the FCT and has instructed them to mainstream PWDs into their programmes.

Meanwhile Ann Ojugo the chairperson of JONAPWD Edo State chapter expressed sincere gratitude to the corps and assured them of good working relationship.
