The National Sports Commission (NSC) has inaugurated the newly elected Chairmen and members of the Boards of the National Para Sports Federations, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening governance and advancing the development of para sports in Nigeria.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Media Centre of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja and was presided over by the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, , alongside the Director-General of the Commission, .
Speaking during the ceremony, the NSC leadership charged the newly inaugurated board members to uphold the highest standards of transparency, professionalism and athlete-centred leadership as they begin a new chapter of service to Nigerian para sports.
The Commission expressed confidence that the new boards would provide effective leadership to drive the growth and success of the various para sports federations.
Following the inauguration, Shehu Dikko met with a number of para athletes, reassuring them of the Commission’s unwavering commitment to creating an enabling environment that supports their training, competition and overall development.
The engagement underscored the NSC’s continued focus on athlete welfare and its determination to ensure that every Nigerian athlete receives the necessary support to excel at continental and global competitions.
