Nigerian Igbos in Boston have taken the Gov Obiano’s Think Home initiative to another level as they propagates the use of Igbo language by Igbos in diaspora, INN reports
INN learnt that the ThinkHome philosophy was initially understood to be home land tangible investments in infrastructural development,economic diversification,agricultural revolution,repatriation of hard currency and political involvement but igbos in Boston have been making some intangible investment in a very crucial sector-the future of our children.
Governor Obiano’s propagation of ThinkHome doctrine for ndi igbo in these Diaspora has received a vindictive encouragement by the action of the igbo organization of the new England USA who now organizes an igbo language class for igbo children in USA every saturday.
It could be recalled that Governor Willie Obiano has been supporting the promotion of Igbo language by encouraging and supporting Otu Subakwa Igbos with donation of multi passenger seater bus and has proposed the establishment of a radio station broadcasting only in igbo language.
INN gathered that children in schools at home and all civil servant are now required to dress in igbo attire every wednesday. The investment been made by the Igbos in Boston in the lives of Igbo American youths is therefore a welcome partnership with Governor Obiano’s patriotic vision for ndi Igbo.
This was so as the Senior Special Adviser to Gov Willie Obiano on disability matter, Chuks Betrand Ezewuzie (SSA), salute the Ndi Igbo in Boston for organization of the new England.
