The Founder, Cedar Seed Foundation and Network of Women with Disabilities, Lois Auta has condemned yet another unfortunate and dastardly act of terrorism in Malagum 1 and Sokwong communities of Kagoro Chiefdom in Kaura LGA of Kaduna state.
Auta expressed deep dismay in a statement released on Monday after receiving the ugly news of the unfortunate killings in the two communities of Kagoro axis by unidentified gunmen on Sunday.
Local source reported that the attack which occurred on Sunday at around 11pm killed at least 20 persons, several residents were reported missing. According to the source, many houses were set ablaze in the process.
It could be recalled that few weeks ago, about 15 persons were killed in separate attacks on communities in Giwa, Birnin Gwari, and Kajuru LGAs of Kaduna state by yet to be identified gunmen. Their barbaric acts have rendered many families especially women and children homeless and hopeless.
It is on account of these dastardly acts that, Auta condemned the killings in strong terms while calling on community leaders and security agencies to take proactive measures to bring the culprits to book and restore peace in the communities.
The wheelchair user prays for calm and stability, she demands justice and succour for the affected people in the communities.
The Founder also appeals for holistic approach to end insecurities in the communities, state and Nigeria as a whole.
“My heart goes out to the families of the victims affected by the attack, the people of Kagoro chiefdom, and the entire people of Kaura Local Government over the loss of their beloved ones.” She said.
