As it marks its 19th anniversary, Kpakpando Foundation, a non-governmental organization, has reaffirmed its commitment to providing aid to persons with disabilities.

The celebration, themed “Disability Inclusion in Nation Building,” is set for next Wednesday at Rockview Hotel, Owerri, Imo State.

Founded in 2006 by Senator Osita Izunaso of Imo West, the foundation has lined up key activities, including a medical outreach for persons with disabilities, along with donations of motorized and manual wheelchairs, crutches, generators, housing, vehicles, scholarships, and training programs.

Distinguished guests expected at the event include Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Governor Mala Buni of Yobe State, and former Sports Minister John Eno. Over the years, the foundation has empowered 20,000 persons with disabilities, with over 1,000 benefiting from its scholarship schemes.
