Kebbi Disability Group Backs Governor Nasir Idris, Urges Unity Among PWDs

by Inclusive News Network

The APC Awareness for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) Organization, Zuru Emirate, has reaffirmed its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the administration of Governor Dr. Nasir Idris, while distancing itself from reports alleging that disability stakeholders in Kebbi State had defected to opposition political parties.

In a statement signed by its Coordinator, Ishaq Saleh Zuru, the organization clarified that those who reportedly changed political allegiance acted in their individual capacities and do not represent the collective position of recognized stakeholders of persons with disabilities across the state.

The group expressed appreciation to Governor Dr. Nasir Idris for his commitment to promoting disability inclusion, empowering persons with disabilities, and implementing policies aimed at improving their welfare. It described the governor’s administration as one that has continued to provide meaningful support and opportunities for the disability community.

The organization also pledged to continue educating and mobilizing persons with disabilities across Zuru Emirate, Kebbi South, and Kebbi State on active political participation and the achievements of the APC. It urged members of the disability community to remain united, peaceful, and committed to supporting leaders and policies that promote inclusion, justice, and equal opportunities for all.
