by Inclusive News Network

With the Support of IPAS, a global non-profit organization that works to increase women’s ability to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights, and to end deaths and injuries from unsafe abortion, IPAS through Partnering with the Deaf Women Association of Nigeria will be training at least 35 Deaf Women Leaders & young ladies from the various states of Nigeria on Sexual Harassment/Gender-based violence (GBV).

Critical topics like Identifying Disability Stereotypes, Defining & Understanding Sexual Harassment / GBV, Understanding the various types of Sexual Harassment & Sexual Harassment Spectrum, Identifying the Disability Act as a Tool for the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities and more critical topics will be on presentation by World most renowned Women Leaders who will be serving as trainers for the event.

Each year, At least 25 million women and girls around the world have been sexually exploited thus leading to unsafe abortions. Ipas in partnership with other NGOs from around the world are working to bring that number to zero.

Ipas’s work is grounded in the belief that women everywhere must have the opportunity to determine their futures, care for their families and manage their fertility. Through local, national and global partnerships, they work to ensure that women receive safe, respectful and comprehensive abortion care, including counseling and contraception, to prevent future unwanted pregnancies.
