Inclusion: Zamfara State House Of Assembly To Partner with National Association of the Blind

The speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly Hon Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya has assured people with special needs of government’s readiness in carrying them along in all government activities.

The speaker made the assurance on Thursday when executive members of National Association of the blind, Zamfara State chapter paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

The Speaker Magarya said at any other time in the past the state government is poised to assist people with special needs considering their vulnerability in the society.

He also assured them of his commitment to attend the commissioning ceremony of their office coming up soon.

INN gathers that the state chief lawmaker made an official donation for the purchase of office furniture as they requested.

Earlier speaking the state chairman of the association, Alh. Abubakar Naketa said they were in the house for the first time in more than a decade to register their unflinching support and cooperation to the leadership of the house and thank the government of governor Bello Muhammad for restoring most needed peace to the state.

Alh Abubakar Naketa further informed the speaker that more than 100 of their members lost their lives while thousands others sustained various degree of injuries during the 8 years of senseless carnage in the state.

In a statement released to newsmen by the spokesperson of the house, Mustapha Jafaru Kaura said the leadership of the house also condoled with the Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in the state Dr Asma’u Sani Maikudi over the death of the Head of Department Information and Communication Technology (I.C.T.) Alh Aliyu Umar Ahmad.

Speaker Magarya while condoling with the REC commissioner, prayed Allah (s.w.a.) to grant the deceased a paradise.

Speaker Magarya also used the occasion to familiarize himself and the house members with the REC, stressing that his leadership has been agitating for this visit but has been unable to owing to numerous commitments by both members and the REC herself.

Responding to the Leadership of the sixth Assembly, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Asma’u Sani Maikudi expressed her profound gratitude and appreciation to the state house of assembly for the concern shown to the Electoral body in the state and prayed Allah to reward the house members abundantly .

INN gathers that the speaker donated food items to the family of the deceased which include three bags of rice and three Jerry cans of cooking oil among other food items.

The visit had the presence of the deputy speaker Hon Musa Bawa Musa Yankuzo, House leader Hon Faruk Musa Dosara, deputy chief whip Hon Ibrahim Muhammad Tela Bukkuyum and Hon Tukur Jekada Birnin Tudu and other house Members.
