The Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan, has congratulated the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday, describing her as a woman whose years of service and commitment to national development continue to inspire Nigerians.
Gufwan, in a congratulatory message, acknowledged Senator Tinubu’s longstanding role as a dependable partner in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s political journey, recalling her contributions during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State. He particularly highlighted her involvement in the Spelling Bee initiative, an educational programme that provided opportunities for young Nigerians to develop their intellectual abilities and pursue greater prospects.
According to him, Senator Tinubu has continued to demonstrate her commitment to national development in her present role as First Lady by using her platform to promote women’s empowerment in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda. He also noted that her ability to mobilise women and resources contributed to her successful election to the Senate, where she served with dedication and competence.
The NCPWD Executive Secretary prayed for continued grace, wisdom and blessings for the First Lady, expressing hope that she would remain a source of support to President Tinubu as he leads the country towards greater development and prosperity.
