Dr. Adam Kosa, President, International Committee of Sports for the Deaf

International Committee of Sports for the Deaf has called for peace in the conflict in Gaza strip to ensure continuous development of deaf sports.

Dr. Adam Kosa, President, International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) made the call in an open letter addressed to Mr. Mohamed Nazzal, Palestinian Union of the Deaf on Wednesday, 10 January, 2024.

Kosa condoles with the Palestinian deaf victims of the current conflict in Gaza strip and their families.

He said, “I trust that neither deaf athletes nor their coaches are affected.

“We are aware of the negative impact of this conflict on the athletes and professionals of your sports organisation and we hope that this conflict will end as soon as possible so that they can once again be part of the international Deaf sports scene.

“The ICSD, as supreme governing body of the International Deaf Sports world calls for peace in the region as soon as possible, so that deaf sport can develop again there.” He said
