CleanAce Foundation & Academy, in partnership with the MTN Foundation and the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA), has launched the MTN-CleanAce Inclusive Fabricare Skills Empowerment Programme aimed at equipping Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), particularly persons with hearing impairments, with vocational and entrepreneurial skills for sustainable livelihoods.
The initiative, unveiled during a press briefing in Lagos, is designed to provide beneficiaries with professional training in laundry and dry-cleaning services, entrepreneurship development, certification, and structured post-training support to promote self-reliance and economic inclusion.
Speaking at the event, the Founder of CleanAce Foundation & Academy, Mr. Enibukun Adebayo, said the programme was established to remove barriers limiting opportunities for Persons with Disabilities and to empower them with practical skills that can enhance their economic independence.
Representing the General Manager of LASODA, Mrs. Omolade Sonubi commended CleanAce Foundation, the MTN Foundation, and other partners for their commitment to advancing disability inclusion through skills acquisition and economic empowerment initiatives.
One of the beneficiaries, Moses Peter Aba, described the programme as life-changing, noting that the training had equipped him with valuable fabricare skills while boosting his confidence to pursue self-employment.
To qualify for the programme, applicants must reside in Lagos State, possess a valid LASRRA registration, be identified by LASODA or a partner organisation, and hold at least a secondary school certificate.
The partners said the programme reflects their shared commitment to promoting inclusive economic empowerment by creating sustainable opportunities that enable Persons with Disabilities to participate meaningfully in society and contribute to the economy.
