The Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre, Jos, has donated more than 100 wheelchairs to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Jama’are and Itas/Gadau Federal Constituency of Bauchi State, providing beneficiaries with improved mobility and renewed hope.

The outreach was carried out in collaboration with the APC House of Representatives candidate for Jama’are and Itas/Gadau Federal Constituency, Alhaji Suleiman Sa’ad Gadau, popularly known as Sulgad, as part of efforts to promote inclusion, independence, and dignity for persons with disabilities across the constituency.

Speaking during the distribution, a representative of the foundation described the initiative as an investment in the future of persons with disabilities. “A wheelchair is more than a mobility aid; it represents freedom—the freedom to attend school, earn a living, worship, and live with dignity,” the representative said.

Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support, noting that the wheelchairs would improve their access to education, healthcare, employment, and community activities. The foundation reaffirmed its commitment to building an inclusive society where disability is not a barrier to opportunity.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Association of Persons with Disabilities in Jama’are, Sa’adu Ibrahim Jama’are, commended the foundation and its partners for the life-changing intervention and appealed for sustained support to improve the lives of persons with disabilities across Bauchi State.
