The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Mohammed Abba Isa, has extended warm Eid-El-Kabir greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and around the world, calling on citizens to uphold the values of sacrifice, compassion, unity, and inclusion.
In a statement issued on Thursday to mark the 2026 Eid-El-Kabir celebration, Abba Isa described the festival as one of the most important events in the Islamic calendar, symbolizing obedience, faith, and complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
Speaking on behalf of over 35 million Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in Nigeria, the presidential aide congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the First Family, and Muslim faithful nationwide, especially Muslims with disabilities, on the joyous occasion.
He commended members of the disability community for their resilience, strength, and steadfast devotion despite prevailing economic and social challenges facing the country.
According to Abba Isa, Eid-El-Kabir serves as a reminder of the story of Prophet Ibrahim and the enduring virtues of unwavering faith, obedience, and sacrifice as enshrined in the Holy Quran.
He stressed that true righteousness extends beyond religious rituals and should be reflected through sincerity, compassion, and commitment to supporting fellow citizens, particularly the poor and vulnerable.
The presidential aide urged Muslims to celebrate the season with humility, gratitude, and moderation while remembering those in need within their communities.
Abba Isa also appealed to Nigerians to show love, care, and support to persons with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups, noting that many face additional hardships during festive periods.
“True celebration is complete only when it includes everyone,” he stated.
He further emphasized the importance of national unity, peaceful coexistence, and mutual respect among Nigerians regardless of religious, ethnic, or social differences, adding that the nation would continue to prosper when citizens remain committed to tolerance, justice, and inclusion.
Abba Isa prayed for Allah to accept the sacrifices of Muslims, bless Nigerian homes with peace and happiness, and grant the country lasting unity and prosperity.
He wished Muslims across the country a peaceful, joyful, and fulfilling Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
