President of the Nigeria National Association of the Deaf (NNAD), Dr. Chidi Topaz Olujie has been turbaned by the Emir of Zaria with the traditional title of Majidadin Kuramen AREWA.

The turbaning ceremony which took place on 1st October, 2022 at the Emir’s palace was attended by friends and well wishers joining in the celebration.

This additional feather to Dr. Chidi’s cap is in recognition of his philanthropic gestures to the North and other parts of Nigeria.

Dr. Chidi Olujie, speaking in a chat with Inclusive News Network admitted he was surprised at receiving the title. According to him, it shows AREWA really appreciate people’s effort.

He said: “They motivated me to do more. And I will live up to the title given me by Arewa. People should continue to be good, that is how their efforts will be recognized in one or other way.”

Dr. Chidi also disclosed that his plan for the future is to continue uniting people as one because, according to him: “we are meant to be one.”

INN reports that earlier, Haruna Tsafe, Vice President of NNAD, had been turbaned “Garkuwan Kuramen AREWA”.
