The bill for persons with disability would be signed into law alongside a Commission for Persons With Disability (PWD) says the founder and CEO of Equal Rights for Persons With Disability International (ERPDI), Eric Ndubuaeze Ufom, who quoted the words of Hon Yabuku Dogara, INN reports.
Ufom took to his facebook page to announce the latest development on the Nigerian Disability Bill.
Quoting him, he said, “…God has done it Again for over 25.5 Million Nigerians with Disabilities and every Nigerians family because every Nigerian family, including President Buhari’s family has one or more persons with disabilities inside our respective families..”
INN gathered, according to Ufom, that a Commission was to be Formed within 24 hours By the Nigerians House of Representatives, to Review the Nigerians with Disabilities Rights Bill and send it to President Buhari for signing into law with a Commission. He said this while quoting the exact words of Hon. Yakubu Dogara,the Speaker of the House of Representatives
Ufom was quoted as saying, “Today, March 14, 2018, at the Nigerians National Assembly, a High-Level Diplomatic Meeting was held between the Hon. Speaker of the house of Representatives and members of the Nigerians with Disability Caucus (NDC) for the One Session Ad Hoc Committee for Nigerians with Disabilities Rights Bill, led by the Distinguished Senator Osita Izunaso, Mrs. Patricia Oseh Ovuoke, and Kpakpando Foundation and Comr. Tom Chidi Iwotor and Hellen Udoye Beyioku-alase, representing Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities International, Inc”
Ufom further said they were progressively heading towards the promised land and he thanked the distinguished Senator Osita Izunaso, Mrs. Patricia Oseh Ovuoke, and Kpakpando Foundation for being their Torchbearers, who were called by God to lead them to the Promised land.
