Disability Agency Advocates for Rights, Protections at SGBV Symposium

The General Manager of the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs, Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, attended a symposium hosted by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency. The event reviewed a decade of efforts addressing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) in Lagos.

Mrs. Oyetunde-Lawal seized the opportunity of the event to emphasize the need for collective action in the fight against sexual and gender based violence, urging everyone to support the government by promptly reporting cases of abuse to appropriate authorities.

She also called on private organizations to collaborate with state agencies, stressing the importance of ensuring rights and protections for all, including people with disabilities.
