The Deaf community in Nigeria marked international week of the deaf on Saturday, 23 September, 2017. The annual event occurs from 18th September to 24th synchronously all around the world. The theme for this year in Abuja reads “Full Inclusion with Sign Language”. In Lagos, it reads “Walk against Discrimination of the deaf”. It was learned that the walk was to create awareness for the deaf community in Nigeria, eliminate discriminations and create inclusion for the deaf in Nigeria.
