Miss Jennifer Ejiogu, the visually impaired Youth Corp member, who proved her mettle, has received letter of commendation from the Office of the Executive Governor on Disability Matters, INN reports
The Corp member who hails from Imo State had initiated and executed some life changing projects for the inmates of rehabilitation centre in Oba in Idemili south Local Government Area of Anambra State which INN had earlier reported.
The Senior Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra state on Disability matters, Mr Chuks Betrand Ezewuzie, took to his facebook page to share the information and also post a couple of photos taken during the presentation of the Commendation Letter to Miss Ejiogu.
INN gathered that the Representatives of office of the Executive Governor on Disability Matters were at Oba on the 15th of March 2018 along with Officials of ministry of Social Welfare, Children and Women affairs, Federal road safety Corp and National Youth Service Corp to Commission the project. The projects included donation of wheel chairs and crutches to the needy physically challenged persons, Malaria and HIV prevention projects, installation of zebra crossing for pedestrian safety following frequent reports of accident involving inmates of the rehabilitation centre.
Miss Jennifer had single-handedly carried out these and other projects to improve the lives of persons with Disabilities in her place of primary assignment. She has made a great contribution to Governor Willie Obiano vision for persons with Disabilities
