The Intentional Women Africa organization in partnership with Isonye Foundation has organised a palliative program for women with disabilities.
At least fifty women in Lagos and Asaba smiled home with food items including rice, beans, palm oil, seasoning cubes, and vegetable oil.

They also went home with sanitary pads, hand sanitizers and face masks.
Executive Director of Isonye Foundation, Dr. Ijeoma Nnodim at the event in Asaba had a health talk titled “Prevention of COVID-19 infection and Boosting Your Immune System, which also had sign language Interpreter on ground.
The excited participants listened avidly and also asked questions on other health issues.
Dr. Ijeoma also availed the participants of her contact numbers urging them to reach out to her if they had any health questions to ask later. Light refreshments were provided.
Like the Asaba event, the Lagos event was huge success.
Founder of The Intentional Women Africa, Udunma Ikoro, gave a talk titled, “How to Live a Happy Life Even In Difficult Situations and Manifesting Your Greatness as a Woman”.
The efforts of Mrs Amaka Adekoya and Mrs Chinyere Onah are appreciated as they took charge of the logistics of the event, while Ikoro’s assitant was also on ground to ensure the smooth running of the event.
Isonye Foundation expresses her gratitude to The Intentional Women Africa for funding the program and putting a smile on the faces of women with disabilities especially with the economic hardship caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
