IDPD: Foundation doles out items and cash gifts to orphanages (PHOTOS)

In commemoration of the International Day of Persons with disabilities, the Mimijean foundation for women and children with Disabilities has reached out to Jesus kids orphanage home for children with disabilities with items and cash gifts.

Among Food items include bags of beans, rice, Carlton’s biscuits, indomie, crates of eggs, packs of bottled water, packs of soft drinks, toiletries, and cash.

The theme for 2021 is “Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world”

The executive director, Betty Mube in a statement urged well-meaning Nigerians and organisations of persons with Disabilities to support the orphans, children and persons with Disabilities by building back better toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world.

She also called for an inclusive society where persons with disabilities could be reasonably accommodated and supported so that their lives could be better as persons with disabilities are the most hit by the pandemic among vulnerable groups in Nigeria.
