Real Act of Kindness – RAK Development Foundation recently visited the Atinuke Oyindamola Memorial Homes and Hephzibah Homes of abandoned children and children with disabilities in Badagry. The foundation distributed gifts to children at the two homes with Santa Claus.
The children who smiled at the sight of the RAK Pioneer, Mobolaji Ogunlende, shouted with Ecstacy seeing a friend of the home. Cakes were cut, food, drinks,  and other gifts items were presented to the children by RAK foundation father Christmas, while they danced to yuletide melody.
Playing with the abandoned children, Ogunlende said that no one chooses to be an orphan neither do the parents choose to die and leave their children as orphans.
Ogunlende also advised parents, “….this Yuletide, as you spoil your families, remember those without anyone to spoil them.
“True love is when you give someone who can’t return the favour, let’s be our brother’s keeper,” he said.
Mrs Mary Campbell, a staff of Atinuke Oyindamola Memorial Homes, urged government and well-meaning Nigerians to assist in providing befitting facility for the children.
According to her, the home is basically with over 40 children  with disabilities such as down syndrome, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and autism.
She called on government to provide vocational centre for them where they can get trained in vocational training so that they could be useful to themselves and the society.
At Hephzibah Homes, Mr Adekunle Adebayo, a staff, said the orphanage home was being maintained by the grace of God and help of the people.
Adebayo said that the home had power supply challenges because their generator had developed a fault and electricity supply was not regular.
He called on government and well-meaning Nigerians to help the home with new generator to power the home especially in the night.
