Kanawa Foundation Donates Tricycles To Students With Disabilities In Kano

Humanitarian Gestures in furtherance of Education. A cross section of beneficiaries of various mobility aids distributed by the Kanawa Educational Foundation in conjunction with "DashMe " initiative.

The Kanawa Educational Foundation for the Disabled has again come to the aid of PWDs by way of social responsibility when it distributed some thirty Tricycles to students resident around its office and surrounding areas on Tuesday.

The Vice Chairperson of the foundation, Malama Hussaina said the tricycles were donated to encourage children with disabilities in their education pursuits.

She also extended appreciation to donors of the tricycles. In her words, “These thirty bikes were donated by the “DashMe Foundation” located in Bauchi State, and we are very happy beyond imagination.”

She added that the foundation has been making such a moves for a long time to encourage children with Disabilities in Kano State, especially to ensure these students have access to education and are educated.

Hussaina remarked that the tricycles will boost students’ morale with intelligence and skill. She also urged parents of the students to continue their commitment towards encouraging their children on the importance of education.

The vice-president further revealed that the Kanawa Foundation supports people with special needs in various areas, including enrolling them in school, paying their medical bills, and other essential needs.

She admonished beneficiaries to make good use of the tricycles and warned against selling them.

In her words, we don’t want a situation whereby they will sell it and stop going to school. In the event of a fault developing, parents should please, help fix it.”

Hussaina finally called on the government and donors to continue contributions to the Foundation in order to sustain the charitable work.

The coordinator of DashMe Foundation, Barrister Ayuba Burki Gufwan in his remarks while donating the tricycles adviced the beneficiaries to face their studies and be productive in society.
