The Network of Women with Disabilities has trained 50 women and girls with disabilities on various vocational skills in four local government areas, Kaduna State.
The project was aimed at cushioning the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, provide healthy lifestyle and livelihood support for women and girls with disabilities in the four local government areas namely: zango, jaba, jema’a and kaura.
The empowerment training provided to beneficiaries include, tailoring, knitting, soap and air freshener production, tye and dye, and book keeping.
INN reports that the training sessions held at Pathfinders foundation kagoro is expected to last for two months.
NWD appreciated Feminist Humanitarian Network (FHN) and Women in Humanitarian Response in Nigeria Initiative (WIHRINI) for their supports in ensuring the event was a success.
