Imo First Lady, Barr Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma has extended her gifts to our mentally challenged brothers and sisters at the rehabilitation center Umuneke, Imo State, on Sunday, January 16, 2022.
Represented by the Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups, Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, the inmates received different food items, snacks, and drinks. The snacks and drinks which were personally handed over to the inmates by Ugwu, put smiles on their faces as they danced and sang.
It is noteworthy to report that seven of the inmates are fully recovered and are scheduled to go home by the end of the month. Her Excellency Barrister Chioma Uzodimma, through the Ministry of Woman Affairs and Vulnerable groups, will make sure each recovered inmate is personally taken home to their families. Ugwu thanked the Principal and staff for their dedication and selfless service which she prayed God to reward them immensely.
