ACEND Supplies 80 Wheelchairs, Walking Aids To Physically Challenged Individuals Ndi Anambra

ACEND, the Association for Comprehensive Empowerment of Nigerians with Disabilities, has empowered disabled Ndi-Anambra with sophisticated mobility aids comprising eighty wheelchairs and over twenty walking aids.

In his remarks at the event, the Founder and National President of the association, Chief Cosmas Okoli, who revealed that he was inspired to start the group to enable him empower the disabled with mobility, recalled how he crawled for years without aid as a Polio victim, adding that getting walking aid changed his life.

hief Okoli appreciated the anonymous member of his 1982 Christ the King College, Onitsha Alumni set for his kind gesture towards the association, expressing happiness that it will go a long way in helping the disabled.

Reverend Ugochukwu Ekwem, who was part of the ceremony, emphasized the need for Christians to always give and share what they have with those around them and beyond, noting that the blessings of God are bountiful for those who share with others.

The South East Coordinator of the association, Mrs. Hope Ogechukwu, and the State Secretary, Mrs. Ifeoma Mba, appreciated Chief Okoli and the anonymous donour for championing the course of the disabled.

Some beneficiaries who spoke to the ABS, including Mr. Uchechukwu Gabriel, Jerome Ezekwe and Mrs. Eucharia Okeke said the mobility aid will help them in no small measures.
