NNAD mourns as multiple deaths hit her Members

The Nigerian Deaf community is in mourning mood after death stalked no less than five of its prized members within the short space of four days.

National Secretary General of the apex Deaf Association in Nigeria, Engr Timothy Adejumo announced the sad losses in a press statement released on various media platforms yesterday.

Among the deceased were Dogara Yakubu, member, Kaduna State Association of the Deaf whose demise occurred on 6th July. Ronald Tijjani Magaji, deputy zonal coordinator, Northeast, died on 7th July. Abdullahi Adamu, Chairman, Aliyu Gobir, member, and Umar Mai’akwai, member, all of Sokoto State Association of the Deaf, died on 9th July, 2021.

Adejumo in the statement prayed for fortitude for families of the deceased to bear the losses. He also had words of consolation for members of the Deaf Associations in Taraba, Kaduna and Sokoto States
