- Receives 2nd jab of COVID-19 vaccine
The Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), Mr. James David Lalu on Monday, June 28 received in his office a delegation of Association of Persons infected with Leprosy. The visiting delegates were led by Mr. Peter Iorkigh of Integration, Dignity & Economic Advancement (IDEA) Nigeria.
The group came to Identify with the Commission and to congratulate the ES on his appointment as Executive Secretary of the NCPWD.
The Executive Secretary, while appreciating the friendly visit, reiterated his resolution to build an all inclusive administration. He also reaffirmed his commitment to carry all PWDs along in every aspect of his administration.
Among the visiting team was Mr. Ahmed Mohammed immediate past Chairman (IDEA) and Mrs. Esther Emmanuel, Administrative Secretary, IDEA Nigeria.

Meanwhile, James Lalu announced that he had received a second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine to fully protect himself and those around him from effects of the pandemic.
In his statement after receiving the jab, the Executive Secretary urged PWDs to “Keep fear aside and protect themselves against the dreaded COVID-19”
