NGO Distributes 1,027 Wheelchairs To PWD in Ogun

Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Center, a non governmental organization located in Jos, North Central Nigeria has distributed tricycle wheelchairs to people living with disabilities in Imala Town, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The distribution which took place on the 14th of May, 2021 at St John Anglican Primary School located inside Imala Town was to mark the 16th coronation anniversary of Oba Moses Adelani Adegboyega Olabode, the Omola of Imala-Land.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Gary S. Maxey, founder of West Africa Theological Seminary, based in Lagos who facilitated the donation by the Beautiful Gate expressed gratitude to the Foundation for extending it’s gesture to Ogun State which is the first of it’s kind.

Dr Marxey in his speech told the audience that the Beautiful Gate has provided more than twenty thousand mobility Appliances free of charge across Nigeria.

Making the donation to Oba Moses Adelani Adegboyega Olabode, CEO of the Beautiful Gate, Chief Ayuba Gufwan stated that disability is not the kiss of death and that people with disabilities should be supported to achieve their potentials in life and to contribute positively to societal growth and development.

Oba Moses Adelani Adegboyega Olabode in his speech showered encomium on the Beautiful Gate, extoling Chief Ayuba for the efforts of his foundation towards the plight of people with disabilities. He also appreciated the contribution of Dr Garry Marxey towards the socio-economic development of Imala-Land.

Cross section of beneficiaries at the occasion, invited guests and residents of Imala could not hide their joy at the gesture by the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Center, Jos.

A total of one hundred and twenty seven tricycles wheelchairs were distributed to the beneficiaries.
