NNAD Youth Joins World Federation of the Deaf (Youth wing)

The Youth section of the Nigerian National Association of the Deaf, has officially joined the World Federation of the Deaf, Youth Section (WFDYS) after many years of self exclusion.

This news was disclosed in a statement issued by Ebuka Okeke, Youth Leader of the Nigerian National Association of the Deaf.

The successful registration with WFDYS means that NNAD Youths can now participate in WFD Youth wing meetings, camps, elections, as well as contest for leadership positions, among others.

Inclusive News Network, INN learnt that the successful registration was facilitated by NNAD President, Hon. Chidi Olujie. Ebuka Okeke confirmed this in the issued statement where he thanked Hon. Chidi Olujie for providing guidance in the registration process and for making payment of 25 euros for the Youth Ordinary Membership (YOM).

The registration sum for the Youth Ordinary Membership (YOM), INN confirmed through WFDYS’s website. Nigeria paid 25 euros as a Group D, low income economy.

As a member of WFDYS, NNAD Youth is entitled to sending delegates (participants/leaders) to all WFD Camps, receive all information directly from the WFDYS and have direct communication access to the WFDYS, including voting rights at the Youth General Assembly.

Okeke assured Deaf Nigerian Youths of more such opportunities coming for them.
