Following recently published news on the Scholarship Board of Kaduna State approving foreign Scholarships for two indigene students with Disabilities under the disability-based scholarship category, Executive Secretary of the board, Malam Hassan Rilwan, has disclosed the approval by the board, of eight more students in same category.
In the first announcement, Mr. Rilwan had revealed that Umar Mu’azu, diagnosed with congenital hearing loss would be sponsored to do his MSc in Management and Information Systems (MIS), while Aminu Musa, diagnosed with bilateral lower limb abnormalities secondary to Poliomyelitis would be going for a first degree (BSc) in Computer Science, with a major in Digital Systems Security,”.
In another memo released on Tuesday by its Executive Secretary, the board stated purported plans for eight additional students to be awarded foreign Scholarships under the 2020/2021 Disability category (January batch).
INN gathered that the names and disability type of these students were released by the board. They are: Amos Dzingina (knee amputee), Usman Ahmed (blind), Dikka Yusuf (blind), Saminu Ismail (diagnosed with bilateral profound sensori-neural hearing loss/Deaf), Hauwa Mohammed (diagnosed with bilateral profound sensori-neural hearing loss from birth/Deaf), Shamsudeen Abdullahi (diagnosed with upper and lower limbs achondroplasia), Abubakar Ahmed (diagnosed with upper and lower limbs achondroplasia), and King Henry Ishaya who lost his right eyes to an injury which damaged his right cornea.
