GoldHeart Foundation has come out to sing the praises of Nigerian singer David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido for donating over ₦700k to its orphanage in Ekiti State.
The foundation commended the artiste in a tweet after getting a credit alert of NGN747,426.00 from Davido Orphan Fund via Wema bank.
In the tweet seen by Inclusive News Network, the obviously excited foundation wrote “Our joy has no bound as we received the sum of NGN747,426.00 credit alert from David Orphans Fund @davido this noon.
“We sincerely appreciate you @davido for this large & thoughtful support for Mosadoluwa orphanage, Ekiti State. We promise judicious use of, and accountability for this fund.”
For his birthday celebration in November last year, Davido received the sum of N200,000,000 as gift from fans and well wishers. He added to this a personal donation of N50,000,000 to make a total of N250,000,000.
The humongous sum was donated to orphanages across Nigeria. There were 1,234 applications for the fund which is now being disbursed and credit alerts received.
