Bank, NGO donate food, others to 5 orphanages in FCT

Xploit Consulting Limited, with support from Access Bank Plc, donated food and stationery to five CTF orphanages on Friday.

Ms Grace Taiwo, Communication Director of Xploit Consulting Ltd, when delivering the articles to Hajia Ramatu Hassan, Coordinator of Al’ansar Orphanage, Kuje, FCT, said the effort was to let orphans know that Nigerians cared about them and loved them.

The Nigeria News Agency reports that the orphanages visited are: Charity Girls Orphanage, Bwari, Destined Children Orphanage, Kado Estate Orphanage, Best Life Orphanage, Gwagwalada and Orphanage Al’ansar, Kuje.

Items donated include food, toiletries, and stationery.

She said donating the items was part of Access Bank Plc’s corporate social responsibility.

Taiwo said the organizations are committed to ensuring the eradication of poverty, especially among the least privileged in the country.

She noted that the organization with the support of Access Bank plc would continue to invest in the lives of Nigerians, adding that the collaboration would focus on education, health, gender, the arts, among others.

Hassan, who spoke on behalf of the other orphanage coordinators, appreciated the efforts of both organizations for their support.

However, she called on institutions and other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the gesture.

Master Kelechi Agbo, one of the inmates of the Best Life orphanage, Gwagwalada, said he was satisfied with the school supplies donated by the organizations.

Agbo said the stationery will boost their learning and help them learn comfortably after school at their various hostels.

He called on organizations to expand their good work, especially in education, adding that they needed more writing materials and other articles that would enhance their learning.

Items donated to each orphanage were sacks of rice, sacks of semovita, peanut oil, toilet soaps, tissue boxes, diaper packs, mop buckets and sticks, spaghetti , cartons of liquid milk, toiletries and stationery.
