Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano has approved the purchase of two special Cameras for Anambra Broadcasting Service to enable students with hearing challenges benefit from the ongoing novel Teaching on Air program.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Disability Matters Barrister Chuks Ezewuzie who disclosed this to journalists in Awka, commended the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha for initiating the Teaching On Air program, which he said has helped students in Anambra State and around the world to stay connected with their academic work outside the classroom.
According to him, the program has gained national commendation and has proved indispensable in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ezewuzie also thanked Governor Obiano for making it possible for the disability community in Anambra state to feel included in the program.
In his remarks, Special Assistant to the Governor on Sign Language Communications, Mr. Collins Joseph lauded the Governor for his love for disabled Community in Anambra state.
He also commended Omenugha and the management of the Anambra Broadcasting Service for initiating such commendable program.
