The Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), James Lalu has received an award of excellence from the Vice chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
The award was presented to him on Thursday at the commissioning of a new Special Needs Centre at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.

The Executive Secretary spoke on University admissions for Persons with Disabilities, accessibility to classrooms, offices and employment opportunities for PWDs at the occasion.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Charles O. Emonone, FAS, in his response, expressed delight at identifying with the ES, Mr James. He went on to talk about the challenges encountered and surmounted in the course of setting up the Center. He concluded by reiterating “the Motto of the Centre: “Ability in Disabilities”.
