The Imo State Government has appointed a person with physical disability, Mr Okeoma Godson O as permanent secretary in Imo state civil service.
The move has earned Imo State Special Citizens’ praises for the governor over the appointment.
In a statement signed by media aid to Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to the governor on Special Citizens, Hon Charles Ebonuma (Onyeze), it was revealed that Mr Okeoma Godson was denied this appointment despite his qualifications by past administrations due to his physical disability but Governor Uzodinma has given him what is due to him.
Onyeze described the governor as an impartial and uncompromising leader, whose only concern is a positive, and goal oriented result no matter whose ox is gored
According to him, “the Special Citizens have been immensely favoured and given remarkable recognition and positions in this present administration, thereby granting them the rare privilege of serve according to their capacity.”
He maintained that Gov uzodinma’s adminstration is the best ever witnessed in Imo State both in human capital development and other enviable areas.
Onyeze congratulated Mr Godson and wished him a successful service to God and humanity.
