Again, Dana Air Discriminates, Strands Person On Wheelchair

by Inclusive News Network

There seem to be no end in sight to Dana Air’s discriminatory policies toward Persons with Disabilities, PWD – specifically wheelchair users.

INN gathered that the airline has yet again obstructed boarding by a PWD, leaving him stranded at the airport about a week ago.

A statement signed by Mr. Biodun Olugbade, victim of the latest discrimination by Dana and in which he narrated his experience reads: “I made a flight reservation with Dana airline on Friday for a return trip to Abuja on Saturday. Unfortunately Saturday’s flight was cancelled. On getting to the airport on Sunday, they (Dana airline) refused to give a ticket to me. Instead, they asked me to get an accompanying assistant. When I managed to get another passenger to help me on board, they still refused to issue my ticket because I am on wheelchair.

“I was left stranded trying to get a flight back to Abuja, as most of the flights were already fully booked. I eventually boarded Air Peace where I received befitting attention and care”.

Olugbade promised to take up matters with Dana Air.
