A member of the upper chamber representing Ede South, Hon. Olaniran Akanfe Atidade, on Sunday, hosted executives of Ede Association of Persons living with Disabilities in his residence at Ede South Local Government Area, Osun State. The meeting was held to strategize for the legislator’s bid for a second term in office.
Hon. Atidade, in his remarks pointed out that the Association’s visit testifies to an existing relationship which took into cognizance his commitment to the cause of the Disabled in his constituency. He further promised to support the State’s Disability Bill which is in its second reading in the House. Atidade said this in a statement shared on social media on Sunday.

Referring to the group, the legislator said: “they came to show appreciation for the progress we have made in fulfilling some of my promises to them while also making other requests. I can confidently tell you that some of these requests were immediately granted while others will be attended to as soon as the funds are available”.
Continuing, Atidade remarked on how the visiting team used the occasion to extend goodwill to him, his family and other well wishers. Meanwhile, they assured of their unalloyed support both now and in the nearest future.”
Speaking on behalf of the association, its spokesman said: “It is with pleasure that we, the Executives of Ede Association of Persons With Disabilities charge you, Niran, to rest assured of our unalloyed support for your second term bid. We are with you and will continue to be with you inasmuch as when we needed you, you made yourself available not minding our condition. We are going to support you fully.”
