Responding, Alwan applauded the organization for their sound vision and mission statement and promised to include WGWD in their loan disbursement in order to empower them.

He also affirmed his utmost cooperation in working with WGWD by ensuring that the building is accessible to them.

He urged the organisation to identify areas which its members can participate in BOA’s economic empowerment initiatives and also make it official by writing to the Bank.

“There is need to identify what members of NDW can do, it could be trading, farming, business etc. How much they can take to set up whatever business of their choice, and how much they can pay back. Collateral will not be needed to access the loan,” Alwan said.

Also in attendance at the meeting include Miss Rose Daniel, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for NDW and Miss Onyemaechi Constance, Communication officer for NDW.
