NGO Donates 40 Tricycle Wheel Chairs In Zangon Kataf, Kaduna State

Beautiful Gate Handicapped Peoples’ Centre Jos has donated 40 tricycle wheelchairs in Zangon Kataf local government of Kaduna State.

The Managing Director, Beautiful Gate, Chief Gufwan, while making his address, on Wednesday, said disability is not the keys of death and that there is ability in disability. He also urged the beneficiaries to use the tricycles only for the purpose for which they were provided- schooling, business or learning a craft.

Chief Gufwan, again, in is usual way, encouraged those living with disability by sharing the story of his mentor, Franklin D. Roosevelt of America, who, in a wheelchair, contested, won and steered the economy of America out of depression during the great depression of the 1930s. He stayed in power up to the fourth term.

Chief Burki concluded by appealing to the Council Chairman for more opportunities and a level playing ground for the people living with disability. According to statistics, only 15% of them are gainfully employed despite been educated.

The chairman of Zangon Kataf local government, Dr. Elias Manza, represented by the Council Secretary, Hon. Elisha Sako, said he’s highly delighted that people with disability in his constituency were remembered and prayed that the Lord bless Chief Gufwan for the Humanitarian commitment and advocacy for people with disability.

One of the beneficiaries simply known as Grace, expressed gratitude to God Almighty and to Beautiful Gate for remembering them in the time of their greatest need; and prayed that the Lord bless the organization richly.
